This dining room shows how impactful bright colors can be. The strong chartreuse color on the wall draws you in and highlights the art and unique light fixture. The table is strong and masculine in design and is made by Hickory Chair. We sell Hickory Chair at our showroom and it is a well made U.S produced product. Thomas O’Brien has just released his 10 year anniversary collection for Hickory Chair. It is a collection rooted in the classics but modern by design.
I have often toyed with the idea of incorporating flowers and flower arranging into Beckwith Interiors scope. I truly believe that plants and florals complete the interior design picture. When you look at most interior design images, in magazines, blogs or advertisements you will see arrangements in the pictures. A living arrangement brings “life” into the space. A pop of color! Warmth! I have been researching some amazing shops throughout the U.S. that provide great inspiration for flowers and their arrangement. Most of very modern, tight, unique in design. So beautiful! Ink and Peat provided the images above. They are located in Portland Oregon.
Ikat fabrics have been sweeping through all aspects of design. Fashion designers were using the tribal fabrics over the past 2 seasons and the fabrics are showing up in upholestry fabric. Oscar de la Renta is a big fan of ikat and the beautiful colors. Try a little in your home, maybe a pillow or chair. Too much can seem trendy, but I think a little is just perfect.
